How Qualia reads your things
What Qualia counts
Most of what you see is arithmetic on your own entries: how many things you kept this week, how often a tag turns up, which tags keep appearing together, when you last used one. That counting happens on your device from entries already loaded. No model reads them, and nothing is sent anywhere to produce a number.
What Qualia quotes
When the app shows a sentence, it is a sentence you wrote, unchanged. Nothing is paraphrased, softened, or rewritten. If a line appears in quotation marks, you can go back to the entry it came from and find it word for word.
What Qualia generates
There are exactly four places where Qualia writes text of its own. Each one carries this mark and a caption, directly below the text it describes:
- The Fold’s opening paragraph.Written by Qualia from 12 entries.
- A summary of a video, podcast, or article you saved.Summarised from the article.
- The transcript of a voice memo.Transcribed automatically. Tap to fix anything.
- Tags offered to you when you save something.Suggested. Tap to keep, ignore to drop.
A summary always sits below your own note, never above it. If the mark is not there, no model was involved.
What never leaves your account
Entries you lock are excluded from summaries, transcripts, tag suggestions, search, sharing, and the Fold. You can switch generation off entirely, per entry or everywhere, and the counting features keep working. Content is only sent when you trigger one of the four features above, never in the background, and your entries are never used to train any model.
